Kindergarten through 5th Grade
Sunday morning is a great time to be at Beth Torah! Our young learners and their families pray and learn together in a myriad of ways each and every week.
Here is what a typical morning at WRS looks like:
9:00 Bagels + Schmooze
9:30 Family Tefillah
9:50 Classroom + Specialist Learning.
Immediately following worship, grown-ups gather in the Memorial Room to say kaddish (memorial prayer) for loved ones.
After kaddish grown-ups return to the ulam or a classroom. We have so many ways to enrich your morning: catch up on work, socialize with other families, head off to a committee meeting, or attend an adult learning class. Our Wifi is free and our coffee is hot!
12:00 Our learners are released back to their families!
What Are We Going To Learn This Year?
Weiner Religious School is proud to be using the Institute for Southern Jewish Life religious school curriculum for the 5787 school year! The curriculum is developmentally appropriate, nurturing students’ Jewish identity and equipping students to live rich and meaningful lives. Each grade has thirty lesson plans (two hours in duration), including Hebrew. There are a variety of activities in each lesson that implement the idea that students have different learning styles. Visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning activities are used throughout each lesson.
