Coping In the Aftermath of the Unexpected:
Understanding Our Reactions When Our Community is Touched by Trauma
led by Dr. David Fox, Director of Interventions and Community Education, Project C.H.A.I., the crisis intervention, trauma and bereavement department of Chai Lifeline International.
Please join us in the JCC social hall for this important session at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24th.
Project C.H.A.I. received media attention for their work after the India 2008 Mumbai attacks at the Chabad House, in the aftermath of the murder of Leiby Kletzky in New York, where the team led a global effort to help children manage their fear and grief, and after Hurricane Sandy devastated the East Coast in 2012. Dr. Fox and his co-facilitator Zahava Farbman, who will be working with HBHA students and faculty on Thursday, will offer advice and support to our community. ?
Our Congregation Beth Torah annual meeting is the time for you to find out all the news happening within our walls. Come together with your community to hear about leadership, volunteerism, finances and or course, our community. This year’s annual meeting will be Sunday, April 27th at 10:00 in the Sanctuary. Look for your packet in the mail soon with more information.
