Caring Connection Team

The Caring Connection Team was established in the Fall on 2013 with the mission of providing practical support, encouragement and connection to those members of our congregation that may need a little extra help following a health care situation or facing a long term health challenge while living at home.  Trained Caring Connection volunteers provide this support by helping members for a few hours a week with simple non-medical tasks such as rides, respite and friendly visits.   To refer yourself or another member for support, please contact the Beth Torah Office with the needs.  A staff person will connect you with the Caring Connection Team.   You can also email the committee at
CCT has four areas for Service:

1.      Practical Assistance – transportation, errands, help with a meals.

2.      Socialization – maintaining the human connection, counter social isolation through friendly visits and phone calls

3.      Emotional Support – listening, a trust relationship (not therapy)

4.      Respite – a physical and emotional break from the demands of family care giving.
