Have you heard the news? Beth Torah has the privilege of hosting more than 100 teens from the Western part of NFTY-Missouri Valley for Fall Chavurah from November 11th to 13th! In order to make this event a tremendous success, we need your help! Beth Torah and its members have always been known for their incredible hospitality, and we are calling on you to provide it again.
The first order of business is finding places for these 100 guests to sleep! Would you be willing to have 2-4 teens stay in your home for the weekend? The responsibilities are minimal and the rewards are great! You will need to transport the teens to and from Beth Torah and provide them with breakfast and dinner on Saturday. You don’t have to have beds - they bring sleeping bags.
Looking for other ways to help? With lots of hungry teens to feed, we need some donated items for our oneg and for snacks throughout the weekend. No nuts, please! Items like bags of chips or pretzels, granola bars, fruit snacks, etc would be greatly appreciated. We also need a few volunteers to help serve dinner at Beth Torah on Friday evening. If you are interested in either of these opportunities, contact Rachel Bolter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lastly, we strongly encourage the whole community to attend Friday night and Saturday morning services to see our talented and passionate teens in action, and to demonstrate the ruach that defines CBT!
This will be a wonderful weekend filled with learning, prayer, and new friendships. The BTTY Board and Chavurah Planning Committee are already hard at work to provide a fun and engaging weekend for our guests. The weekend’s programming will center around “The Wizard of Oz” and our social on Saturday evening will include a photo booth, and a slew of fun activities and games!
It will be an inspiring and energizing event, and we would greatly appreciate your help in making the weekend a success!
