The Beyond Chai committee will send packages for the High Holidays, Hanukkah, and Passover to youth ages 18 - 23. Our program Coordinator, Jessica Shea, will be keeping in touch with our young adults through e-mails and newsletters and will also be creating special programs throughout the year.

The Summer Institute is a unique one or two week long campus-based Jewish learning experience. For Philadelphia-based students it is an opportunity to complete a full course in one week. College Students: Live, Learn & Intern in DC This Summer!

The RAC's Machon Kaplan is a unique work/study internship program for undergraduate students interested in Judaism and social justice. Based in Washington, D.C., it provides students with a meaningful internship dealing with social justice issues; the opportunity... to engage in academic study that relates to their internships; and a community of like-minded students who share their experience together. Students learn, through study and action, the interrelationship of Judaism and American democratic ideals, as well as the political interaction of the organized American Jewish community and the U.S. government. Participants also gain a foundation to understand the public policy issues on which the Center works.

Upon completion of the program, participants receive six academic credits from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR).
