Yiddish Movie Matinee

The May Yiddish movie will be shown on Sunday, May 20th at the Heritage Center of The JCC at 2:00 p.m.  The film is entitled: "Americaner Schadchun" which means an "American Marriage Broker."  The plot features a very handsome gentleman who, following in the custom of times desires to find a suitable wife with hope that the two of them might be married and live happily together.  The scene is set in New York and after many choices are paraded before him he finds none acceptable.  As a result he becomes reconciled to his fate of remaining single always. In his opinion it is the fault of the "Schadchun" so he decides to become a “Marriage Broker" himself.  And so the plot thickens.  Pop Corn and Lemonade are available for all - Donations of $1.50 suggested to cover cost of additional movies.
